· Administer oxygen by nasal cannula at 2-6l/min
· Patient should be well supported in semi-fowler’s position
· Encourage use of incentive spirometry fourth hourly
· Provide calm and quiet environment
· Perform head to toe assessment including lab values, daily weight intake and output
· Provide skin care and give stool softeners to avoid constipation
· Assist in maintaining adequate nutritional intake
· Adopt healthy life style and take prescribed medications
